Harry was born July 27, 1943 in Whitewood, Saskatchewan to Laurie and Matilda Heikkila. He went to school at Deerwood School and graduated from Whitewood High School. He then ran Cat and farmed for Roy Sippola. He worked on the oil rigs with Lawrence Danscok and crew. He then got a job with Saskatchewan Department of Highways in Regina and worked as a surveyor for 7 years. He came home and started farming and building houses for Bill Waynert Construction. After the work ran out, he headed to Calgary to work on commercial construction for a number of years. He got sick of the city and came home to farm and raise cattle. He also worked pipeline in Saskatchewan and Alberta. He retired on the farm. He was self-taught in welding, carpentry and mechanics. He loved hunting and going to Auction Sales. He loved country music and had several guitars he played. He passed away at the Moosomin Integrated Care Centre. He was predeceased by his parents Laurie and Matilda, sister Shirley in infancy, sister Norma Jenks and brothers Edwin Heikkila and Donald Heikkila. He is survived by brother George Heikkila of Barons, Alberta, sister Verna (Harold) Hilts of McCord, Saskatchewan, sister Edna (John) Peters of Broadview, brother Doug (Janice) Heikkila of Wapella, Saskatchewan and numerous nephews and nieces.
